Try to do things one at a time. Try to slow down. Your heart will also race if you're always in a hurry. Provide yourself with a list to help prioritize your tasks. Enjoying what you're doing is just as important as the results of your efforts.

You can also try to stop falling asleep. A lot desperately try to fall asleep as quickly as possible only to suffer frustration of being unable to do so. To fall asleep, you need to quit your struggles and try to relax. Be thankful that you're body is resting and that you're feeling warm and cozy. Concentrate on your breathing and listen to your heart beating peacefully.

Laughter is a must. Try to include humor in your life. Laughter is a good healer. When we laugh, special chemicals, also known as nature's finest form of natural medicine, are released. When the day has been stressful, try to balance it with a touch of humor in the evening. To counter the stress you've endured, try watching a comedy show or movie. Some sites also provide funny videos, like YouTube.

It's okay to treat yourself to a catnap. Taking naps are effective but only if you don't feel guilty about it. Get some fresh air. Work can truly add to your stress. On your lunch, don't stay inside your office and go out for a change of scenery. When you lose yourself in nature your tensions will lessen for a while.

How about trying to live in the now? Remember, you can't change the past. The future is seductive and mysterious, so try and look forward to it. Right now, what you need to do is make the most out of it. Give it everything you've got and be creative.
